Israel Gutierrez - CUBA "When he started to walk, he started to dance .." This you might say for Israel. And when he was 12 he made his mind about becoming a pro dancer. In Habana (Cuba) he started his first lessons in Casa de Cultura school. Then from 17 he took classes for pro dancer on Academia de Danza. From then on, he made performances throughout the very well known theatres and stages in Cuba: solo dancing in "Tropicana" shows, dancing in "Amphiteatro de Varadero", coreographing a group "Espectáculo Grupo Musical Timba Cubana" on a Mexico tour ... In year 1998 he was noticed by producers of "HAVANA NIGHT" musical, and year later he was regarded for his solo performances on that musical as "the best male dancer". Starting from year 2000 he is active in München, Germany as a dancer, dance instructor and coreographer od the dancing ansamble "Son Tropical". He is making show performances with his own performance "Puro Azucar * 100% Cubano" which consists of elements from original Cuban dances mixed with elements of som modern dances such as break-dance or clasicall balet. His specialties are: salsa con timba, rumba, mambo and conga on a level that not many dancers can achieve. All rounded up, Israel Gutierrez Lambó is a very passionate show-dancer of a Cuban style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqCW-VzXwRA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yZBtwAPtG8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXcjYJpGvUg&p=A74CF7BE8B0983D1&playnext=1&index=81 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXcjYJpGvUg&p=A74CF7BE8B0983D1&playnext=1&index=81 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXf8Qpg9nW0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhvrUhp9GmI&NR=1

Bachata is a genre of music that originated in the countryside and the rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. Its subjects are oftenromantic; especially prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness. In fact, the original term used to name the genre was amargue("bitterness," or "bitter music"), until the rather ambiguous (and mood-neutral) term bachata became popular. The form of dance, Bachata, also developed with the music.[1]
Bachata originates from the Dominican Republic, with mixed boleros combining traditional latin/carribean rhythms with bachata rhythms, and is a guitar based music which recently evolved from bolero. During much of its history Bachata music was denigrated by Dominican society and associated with rural backwardness and delinquency. As recently as 1988 Bachata was considered too vulgar, crude and musically rustic to enter mainstream music. In the 1990s, bachata's instrumentation changed from acoustic Spanish guitar to electric steel string. The new electric bachata soon became an international phenomenon, and today bachata is as popular as salsa and merengue in some Latin American dancehalls.
The typical bachata group consists of five instruments: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, electric bass guitar, bongos and güira. The rhythm guitar is also known as a Segunda and serves the purpose of adding syncopation to the music. Bachata groups mainly play an evolved style of bolero (lead guitar instrumentation using arpeggiated chords is a distinctive characteristic of bachata), but when they change to merengue based bachata, the percussionist will switch from bongo to a tambora drum. In the 1960s and 70s, maracas were used instead of guira. The change in the 1980s from maracas to the more versatile guira was made as bachata was becoming more dance oriented.[1]
Bachata was first recorded immediately after the demise of Trujillo whose 30 year dictatorship was accompanied by censorship. José Manuel Calderón is credited as having recorded the first bachata singles: (“Borracho de amor” and “Que será de mi (Condena)”) released on 45rpm in 1961. After Trujillo's death, the floodgates were opened: following Calderon's historic bachata debut came more recordings by the likes of Rafael Encarnacion, Ramoncito Cabrera El Chivo Sin Ley,Corey Perro, Antonio Gómez Salcero, Luis Segura, Ramón Cordero and many more. The 1960s saw the birth of the Dominican music industry and of the bachata music which would dominate it.
While the bachatas being recorded in the 1960s had a distinctly Dominican flavor, they were regarded at the time as a variant of bolero, as the term 'bachata' had not yet come into use. Bachata, which originally was a term used to describe an informal rustic party, was a label first applied to the music by those seeking to disparage it. The higher echelons of Dominican Society felt that bachata music was an expression of cultural backwardness, and a campaign ensued to brand bachata in this negative light.[2]
The 1970s were dark years for bachata. The music was seldom played on the radio, and almost unmentioned on television and in print. Bachateros were also barred from performing in high society venues - having to content themselves instead with gigs in bars and brothels in the country's poorest neighborhoods. The music was influenced by its surroundings; sex, despair and crime were amongst numerous topics the genre highlighted. This, of course, only furthered the cause of those seeking to tar bachata as a music of the barrios. Despite its unofficial censorship, bachata remained widely popular; while orchestral merengue benefited from the country's major publicity outlets. However, bachata continued to outsell merengue. Some Bachateros to emerge from this era were Marino Perez, and Leonardo Paniagua.
By the early 1980s bachata's popularity could not be denied. Due to popular demand, more radio stations began playing bachata, and bachateros soon found themselves performing on television as well. Bachata in the mean time had begun to take on a more dance-hall sound: tempos increased, guitar playing became punchier, and call and response singing more prevalent. Bachata style merengues, or guitar merengues, also became an increasingly important part of the bachata repertoire. Blas Durán was the first to record with electric guitar in his 1987 bachata-merengue hit, "Mujeres hembras".[2]
By the early 1990s, the sound was further modernized and the bachata scene was dominated by two new young stars: Luis Vargas and Antony Santos. Both incorporated a large number of bachata-merengues in their repertoires. Santos, Vargas and the many new style bachateros who would follow achieved a level of stardom which was unimaginable to the bachateros who preceded them. They were the first generation of pop bachata artists and received all the hype and image branding typical of commercial pop music elsewhere. It was also at this time that bachata began to emerge internationally as a music of Hispanic dance-halls.
Juan Luis Guerra's Grammy winning 1992 release, Bachata Rosa, is routinely credited with making the genre more acceptable and helping bachata achieve legitimacy and international recognition. Surprisingly , although he used the word bachata in the album title, none of the songs reflected the indistinguishable bachata sound. [3]

("Urban Tribe") was created through the meeting of two born artists and
both madly in love with arts, Erell Niane and Mick Viry, in January
2005. The union of these two natures takes us into a world of music and
dance fundamentally mixed and diverse. U.TRIBE is a subtle mix between
quite technical urban dances, such as hip-hop or contemporary dance,
and primary african dances inherited from our ancestors ("the Force is
in our Roots"), all of the latter brought in the context of salsa and
of the various parallel latin rythms. Mike and R.elle gave U.TRIBE its
first choreography "Niña" in February 2005, and the performance took
the artists to salsa congresses such as London, Milan, Paris and New
York. In less than a year, the two dancers had the opportunity to
participate in about 40 events and congresses all around the planet.
U.TRIBE has a deep respect for the music, prior to anything else. Both
R.elle and Mike could not help but play with the musical heritage of
their childhood. Their dance style is flowing and generous, and always
in sync with the tempo; a surprising and explosive mix between
strength, fieriness, grace, technicity and high sensibility.

5. SalsaCongress 2010: Unforgettable dance and spa adventures for the fifth time!
Going from the first to the fifth event
was like climbing the ladder upwards – while there were only 2 dance
instructors teaching 20 dance enthusiasts at the first SalsaCongress,
four years later it was already 25 dance experts, some of them
world-famous, dancing with more than 900 participators from 15
different countries.
SalsaCongress is the only event in Slovenia offering all types of Salsa and top side-events. Besides
Salsa this year (2009) we were able to try out Latinotone, Tango
Argentino, Step, Swing, Ballroom Dancing and Oriental Dance and all
workshops were adapted to different levels. While some of us enjoyed
the spa treatment offered at the venue, others were dancing through the
night on the Grand Salsa Party, breaking records at the attempt to have
the biggest Rueda de Casino in the world or admiring the performers at
the Gala Salsa Night. We are planning a Salsa event for 2010 which will
be at least as exciting as the last, if not more.
At the SalsaCongress we will be able to learn many dance types from dozens of internationally recognized dance experts. In the past we were dancing with Katarina Venturini,
a 23 time national and 4 time world champion together with Andrej
Škufca. Among many other awards she even received an Order of Merit by
the President of Slovenia Danilo Türk. At one of the past events we
were also able to admire Tina Mayer, the Slovenian from Hollywood, who we have seen on American TV-shows like “Dancing with the stars”. Or Esteban Isnardi, an
Uruguayan living in Switzerland, who worked together with big names
like Ibrahim Ferrer and won the national championship of Rueda de
Casino in Switzerland in 2001.
The next congress will be held between the 12th and 14th March in Rogaška Slatina,
one of the most popular spa resorts in Slovenia, with lots of water
adventures, renewed hotels and a wealth of knowledge about spa
treatments. The area was popular among Romans and Celts, as evidenced
by several historical finds and the Roman road. Today the town is a
symbol for mineral water (Slatina mineral water has been mentioned in
1572 for the first time), spas (a spa has been situated in this area
for more than 200 years) and crystal glassware (you can watch the
production of crystal glassware at the Rogaška manufactory). Rogaška
Slatina is rich with natural heritage with the landscape park Boč and
the daffodil flower, which might be blooming around the time of the
next SalsaCongress. Since the town was very popular with guests from
all over the Habsburg Monarchy back in the 19th century,
there is also a lot of cultural heritage to be found, like the spa
resort buildings, which are some of the most significant neo-classical
buildings in the country.
SalsaCongress by the Dance School Rolly, a
dance school with a tradition of 20 years, is one of the most popular
dance events in Slovenia, evidenced by the great interest by the
Slovenian media, which reported on the event in great length in the past.

Reggaeton
Muzčki pravac
koji možemo svrstiti u urbanije i popularne pravce latinske Amerike.Muzika nastaje u Panami ali svoju popularnost
stiče zahvaljujući upravo izvođačima iz Puerto Rica. On je miks dance hall-a i
reggae-a, i vokali u pesmama ili repuju ili pevaju....
Kubi snima u ovakvim studijima gde nastaju njihovi hitovi.
"Reggaeton
Reggaeton
različit, Kubanci ga vole baš zbog jakog ritma i melodičnije muzike.
U Puerto Riku, nastanak
manje nasilan i apolitičan.
- Meni nije bitna
prvenstvu.
Međunarodna plesna federacije i Plesna asocijacija Češke Republike.
